Insurance Claim denied or underpaid?

Insurance Claim denied or underpaid? Insurance Claim denied or underpaid? Insurance Claim denied or underpaid?

We work for YOU, not the Insurance Company!

About Us

What is a Public Adjuster?

When you file a claim, your homeowners insurance company will assign a claims adjuster to evaluate your property damage and determine a fair payout based on your policy coverage at the time of loss. However, instead of relying on the insurance company's adjuster, some policyholders choose to hire a public adjuster.

A public adjuster performs similar duties as a claims adjuster: assessing the damage to your property, determining the scope of repairs, and estimating replacement costs. The key difference is that a public adjuster works for you, not the insurance company.

After your homeowners insurance company issues the settlement, the public adjuster receives a percentage of the payout as their fee, up to and not exceeding 10% of the settlement. In Louisiana, however, we only charge on an hourly basis.

It is important to note that insurers do not consider the adjuster's fee when determining the claims payout amount. This fee is paid by the homeowner who hired the adjuster.

Insurance companies are in the business of making money, often by underpaying or undervaluing claims to maximize profits. We will review your policy and ensure your damages are fairly compensated for covered losses.

Don't battle the insurance companies alone. You need a public adjuster to handle the claims negotiations from start to finish.

There is no risk to you. If we do not secure a recovery from your insurance company, there is no charge.

Protecting homes, businesses, and properties

With years of extensive experience in the insurance industry, we specialize in assisting clients with property claims resulting from sudden and accidental losses. These losses can stem from windstorms, hailstorms, tornadoes, hurricanes, theft, accidental damage, fires, and smoke damage.

Our team of licensed professionals is dedicated to guiding you through the claims process seamlessly. We understand the complexities involved and work diligently to ensure that insurance companies do not underpay your covered losses. By advocating on your behalf, we strive to secure the fair settlement you deserve, helping you restore your property to its pre-loss condition without unnecessary stress or financial burden.

Free Claims Double Check

We will review your insurance policy to identify potential coverages, helping you prevent losses that could be denied and cause financial hardship. Our team will thoroughly examine your insurance policy or existing claim to ensure you receive a fair settlement offer. We are committed to guiding you through the process and advocating on your behalf to secure the compensation you deserve.

We are also experienced Insurance Claim Damage Appraisers. What is a Insurance Apprasial you may ask?

Insurance appraisal is a crucial component of the insurance industry. When both parties cannot reach an agreement on the value of a claim, the policyholder may invoke the appraisal clause.

Pros of Insurance Appraisal

  • Efficient Dispute Resolution: Insurance appraisal can be the most effective way to resolve significant claim disputes with your insurance company.
  • Cost-Effective Alternative: You can substantially increase the value of your claim without the extended time and expense associated with prolonged litigation.
  • Established Process: The terms for invoking an appraisal are already specified in your insurance contract. It's a well-established process utilized by policyholders across Texas every year.
  • Full Compensation: You can secure every penny legally owed to you by your insurance company for your claim.
  • Advocacy Against Unfair Practices: Appraisal allows you to prevent the insurance company from delaying, unjustly denying your claim, or employing other problematic tactics.

Cons of Insurance Appraisal

  • Significant Dispute Required: The disputed amount needs to be substantial for the appraisal process to be worthwhile. For example, if you and your insurance company disagree over $5,000, the appraisal fees alone could consume any proceeds, even if the appraisers rule in your favor.
  • Finality of Decision: There are no guarantees regarding the outcome of an appraisal. Once a decision has been reached—either by the appraisers or the umpire—that decision is final. There are limited avenues to challenge this final decision, modify the award, or seek additional compensation.
  • Potential Time Constraints: Some appraisals can be time-consuming. You may spend months waiting for the other party to appoint an appraiser, conduct a thorough appraisal, negotiate, and ultimately receive a decision from the appraisal umpire.

At C Belcher Claim Services, we offer our appraisal services on a flat or hourly rate basis, plus any additional expenses.

We are proud members of the Insurance Appraisal and Umpire Association (IAUA).
